For Sep 13, 2022

A warm welcome to the new member of our class Miu Miu!

Thank you all for your wonderful participation, encouragement, questions to clarify things about the class, feedback, and suggestions on Sep 6!

We're all very glad that James decided to stay : )

Thanks to James for sharing the advantages of online class that you discovered on Sep 6, including being able to focus/ listen better with your headset on!

Thanks to Jean for sharing how Amy Chang helped you benefit from your online practice group in the summer that enabled you to continue with the online class!

Link for small group practice:

Right before the break on Sep 13, after people decide what they would like to do from 8:30 to 9:15 pm, I will send the Line Meeting link for small group practice labeling the material and the names of the people who choose to work on it.

This way people will be clear about who will stay on Google Meet and the material they choose to work on, and who will go to the LINE Meeting room.

I will be going back and forth between the two groups to correct/coach everyone.

Please have a person in the Line Meeting group set the alarm to remind yourselves to come back to the large group on Google Meet at 9:15 pm.

For Sep 13, 2022:

1. Continue/Finish Tips for Learning English.

2. Continue "English Learning Goals" handout. Please think about and write down your English learning goals for this term. Be specific about what, when, how, how often, and where. Send me a copy so I can help you better. We will review your progress halfway through the term and at the end of the term.

3. Intonation. Thanks so much to Grace for the wonderful handout!

Choose what you'd like to go through in small groups:

5. Free talk: Feel free to share in the large or small group what James suggested on Sep 6 :

Something impressive, interesting, or woeful (sorrowful/sad).

Or share what you've learned that has helped you improve your English.

7. Survival English unit 18, Culture File 18 (p.88), for those who already got the book and would like to go through it.
