Sunday 5 March 2023

For Mar 7, 2023 (Free Auditing Day. Both in-person and online.)

Hope everyone is safe and sound : )

We are celebrating the 21st year and 41st term of our class! It's been a privilege for me to teach this class non-stop since Daan Community University was first established 20 years ago : )

Thank you very much for your enthusiastic participation and continuous support to one another and me to make it possible!

Special thanks to Grace who has encouraged everyone to stay and return, and helped everyone including me in so many ways for over a decade!

A warm welcome to the new member of our class Samantha!

For Mar 7, 2023:

The school has arranged Room 308, a quiet classroom on the 3rd floor for us. I've asked for rooms 101 and 212 but they are not available for the evening classes of the Community University this term.

Please let me know ahead of time if you plan to participate online on March 7.

Please invite everyone interested in learning English to join us!

 1. Introduction:
 a) What are your English learning goals for this term?
 b) What would you like to get out of this class?
 c) What challenge(s) have you had in learning or speaking English?
 d) Please share one or two method(s) that has/have helped you improve your English.
 e) How have you been? What have you been up to? (What have you been doing?)
 f) What do you do for fun? (Your hobbies and interests.)

2. For new members: "Tips for Learning English" handout. Link: http://eztalkup2u.blogspot.com/search/label/Tips%20for%20Learning%20English

An alternative for the returning members who have already gone through the "Tips for Learning English" handout and have the June 2022 issue of Studio Classroom magazine:

4. For those that already got the Dec 2022 issue of Studio Classroom magazine and would like to start practicing: "All About Christmas" (p.8~9), which is shorter and easier to get through, or"Enchanting Lapland" (p.12-14).
